I’m a wife, mother, and writer, living in the Kansas City Metro area. I’m currently working to juggle all the demands of life with my desire to be a published author.  I blog about writing, homeschooling, God, church, and life in general.

  1. Ever find someone who has almost exactly the same goals as you? I saw your post about the thyroid on SDL, and then clicked the link. I have hypothyroidism (which is why I clicked..lol), and then I read your ‘About’. Too bad you live so far from me- it sounds like we’d have a lot to ‘talk over the fence’ about! :)
So I’ll be daring enough to ask if you’d like to be email buddies with me. I’m an at-home mom of two kids (girl 9, boy 13- he has Asbergers), and I also sew and write. I do humor for the most part, but I also like to write fantasy, cookbooks, short stories…well, pretty much anything! I write for an online magazine called Ruby for Women (I do the family humor column called Footprints in the Mud- just like my blog) Let me know if you’re interested in chatting!

    • I would love to be email buddies. I’m super busy, so one thing I end up short-changing myself on is interaction with other moms. I’ll send you an email just as soon as I get a chance (hopefully later today).

  2. Hi! I wanted to stop by to say thank you for taking the time to read my post on unemployment over on MoneySavingMom. Praise God for granting you the courage to share your story! May He use it to strengthen the faith of others, who are going through similar things.

  3. Hey Maidenfine, I wanted to let you know that for years now I’ve been a big fan of your “The Mansion” novel (from what I’ve read/seen). I found out about The Mansion when I making Sims 2 movies and I came across the Sims 2 version of the Mansion on youtube a couple years back. When I did more research I ended up finding your website and read another one of your novels in progress and was a fan of that too. I’m writing this now, a couple years later, because I am very interested in reading “The Mansion”. I’ve read a couple of your posts on here and I realize that you may be currently still editing/working on this novel but I was wondering if there was any way that I would be able to read it or perhaps keep in touch with you so that once it eventually becomes published (because I know it will, it’s such a great story) I may be able to purchase it and read it then. I’m not sure when or if you’ll see this comment but if you do I’d love to hear back from you. Thank you! -Salina

    • Clearly, I need to get off my bum and get back to work on this. You are the second person to contact me this year about The Mansion. It makes me so happy to hear such wonderful comments. I will definitely keep you in mind when I’m looking for beta readers after my overhaul.

      • It’s so awesome to hear back from you, especially in such a quick time! I would love to be a beta reader once it comes to that. If you ever need to reach me about that or anything else, you are always free to contact me through word press or you can always e-mail me at my email which is SalinaCruz112@yahoo.com
I’m an aspiring published author as well and finding someone with such talent as you and having the possibility to read your story in the future is absolutely amazing, thank you!
